From Imhotep to Nelson Mandela, this book for Grades 4-8 outlines the lives of 27 African heroes many of whom are largely unknown to most readers. Each entry is accompanied by an often poor quality black and white image and unfortunately, only three women are included. Includes Further Reading and Internet resources.
