My kid swore he needed this edition for a project but discovered that it wasn't that useful for modern work. I suggest buying the newer edition.

I repeated my success: checked a copy out of the library, found that it was full of help, purchased my own copy. These books (this one and TYV HTML) are very easy to follow. I knew no HTML before I started. I'll never be an expert, but they've taught me enough to build three small, simple web sites and have prepared me to use more technically oriented user manuals. I'm grateful!

When you are browsing through books in a library or bookstore because you have decided to learn HTML, many of them can seem a bit intimidating. I am an 11-year-old kid who already builds websites in a program called Dreamweaver. I know all about creating websites with that program, but I didn't know the first thing about making a website in HTML, or code. I found the book, Simplified Creating Web Pages with HTML 3rd Edition, and I looked through it. It has the same mapping and structure of a baby book, so it's really easy to understand, and there are no expectations in it. My dad bought the book for me that same day. I didn't touch it for about 2 days, but then I picked it up, and within 2 hours, I was already more than half way through it. The book was so easy, that I memorized the entire thing in under 4 hours! If you are new to HTML, and you don't want a large, scary book that may take you days to complete and months to master, than Simplified Creating Web Pages with HTML 3rd Edition is the perfect pick for you!
