I have always looked around and wondered the names of trees. So I love this book that gave me, not just the name of trees, but the ability to remember them. I recommend this book highly.

This book allows me to teach struggling readers to read for fluency, focus on vocabulary building, capitalize on visual cues, and reinforce learning through patterns and modeling. Absolutely terrific instructional resource! I highly recommend it for remedial instruction!

.
Have you ever been talking with someone and they referred to some tree by name, and you had no idea what they were talking about? You know: "Oh yeah, I saw your dog down buy the maple tree in the park." Or, "Hike down this trail to the Oak tree and turn left...."
This book will eliminate those awkward moments.
This won't get you a job in the Forrest Service, but it will make your trips to the park and woodlands much more enjoyable.
This is a great way to teach kids (of all ages) about the outdoors.

A little superficial, but an excellent book for kids (or adults) to learn a little about identifying common trees in the US. I'm planning on using this with my group of Cub Scouts on our next campout. It's very straightforward, and gives good associations so that the names "stick" with you. It's certainly not for in depth study or tree identification, but it's worth the money to learn a few common trees.
